About Us

Owner and photographer Al Musy got his start in photography at an early age, first taking photos with his mother's Brownie box camera, and later, with his father's Argus 35mm SLR. For years, Al shot photos in the Midwestern United States with these cameras without any exposure meters, using the film box information as a guide.

Upon graduation from high school, Al bought his first camera, a Pentax KX 35mm SLR. He continued to use this camera and later a Pentax ME Super for many years. Al moved from the Midwest to Colorado in 1986, and finally to Alaska in 1991.

In 1995, Al founded ADM PhotoGraphics. He now performs digital and film photography and videography using Canon and Sony equipment. Al is a member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO) and the Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers (ASONP).

Al is always looking for new places and opportunities to photograph. Having switched to digital photography in 2005, he now shoots almost exclusively in the digital format. His work has been published in many venues including the Alaska Milepost and ASONP's newsletter The Viewfinder.

Photography Association Meetings

The following meet in the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, 121 West 7th Avenue, Anchorage:

• American Society of Media Photographers - Alaska Chapter (ASMP/Alaska) meets every first Tuesday at 7 PM October through May.
• Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers (ASONP) meets every second Tuesday at 7 PM October through May.
• Alaska Photographic Center (APC) meets every third Tuesday at 7 PM.

ADM PhotoGraphics is looking for individuals, couples and families willing to appear in travel related, or outdoor oriented scenic photos. Go about your normal outdoor activites and let us photograph your activity. This can be a great way for individuals or families to obtain portraits of themselves for minimal or no cost.

Sports

Currently in need of skateboarding and snowboarding photos. If you are seriously into either of these sports, and are willing to be photographed or videographed, please contact us immediately.

Extreme Sports

We are always looking for new talent performing extreme, wacky, outrageous or truely Alaskan sports. If you think you qualify for these insane or unusual stunts, contact us. ADM PhotoGraphics will pay well for the right activites.

Modeling

Occasionally, ADM PhotoGraphics requires people for product, clothing or travel related photo shoots. You are welcome to contact us for further information.
